"Stand-In" (Solo) and "Ensemble Cast" (Co-Op) Main Quest
Stats (Solo): Difficulty - 3/10, Est. Completion Time - 25 to 45 Mins
- Turn on the power.
- Go to the room below the PhD Flopper perk machine, at the bottom of the Lighthouse, and knife the Metal Door to hear dialogue from the Ultimis characters.
- Wait for the characters to mention needing a fuse. Find the power fuse in the PhD Flopper room. Fuse locations:
- Insert the fuse into the electrical box to the right of the Metal Door. Some more dialogue will play.
- About 20 seconds after inserting the fuse, four generators will activate with a red light. Destroy all four with explosives (Semtex recommended; wallbuy at the Bow of the ship, above the Juggernog machine). Each generator's light goes out once it's destroyed. Generator locations:
- Once all four generators' lights are off, knife the Metal Door again.
- Find a frozen vodka bottle hanging from a railing. Bottle locations:
- Once you find the bottle, one player must stand directly below it to catch it. Once they're in position, another player must knife the ice to make the bottle drop.
- You don't need to interact with the bottle to catch it, just stand under it.
- If you don't catch the bottle, it'll break and immediately respawn in another location.
- Insert the vodka bottle into the tube on the left side of the Metal Door. Knife the door again for more dialogue.
- Activate the four radios by interacting with them in the order below.
- If you interact with a radio out of order, nothing will happen until you've interacted with any four radios total. All four radios will then buzz and won't respond for a few seconds. After that, retry from the first.
- Interact order:
- Ship - On top of a computer, in front of the Mystery Box location under the power room
- Stamin-Up Room - On a barrel, right of a Zombie spawn
- Ship Bow - In a cargo crate, at the bottom of the Zipline from the top of the Lighthouse
- Metal Door Room - On a cabinet under the stairs, right of a Zombie spawn window
- Go to the ship's bridge (power room). Turn the steering wheel twice to the right, so the brown peg is in the bottom right position. Then on the device, right of the steering wheel, pull the leftmost lever once, and the rightmost lever three times (what it should look like). If done correctly, a foghorn will sound and a submarine will surface in the distance near the Juggernog area.
- Wait for the submarine to fully surface. The next step only works while the submarine is up.
- Activate the four foghorns in the order below. Any player can press any horn, and there is no time limit.
- If you press a horn out of order, nothing happens until four horns have been pressed. On the fourth press the submarine submerges and won't come back up until the current round ends. Stop pressing horns while the submarine is sinking, as those presses still count toward your next attempt a nd will ruin it. Once the round ends, the submarine resurfaces after a short delay, and you can start the sequence again from the first horn.
- Foghorn locations and order:
- Each of the four Lighthouse floors has a coloured number dial on the wall. Interacting with a dial will increase its number and the number of the adjacent dials (above and below, if applicable) by 1. The dials need to be set to the following numbers (from top to bottom): yellow = 2, orange = 7, blue = 4, purple = 6. Use the solver or the instructions below to set the dials to these numbers:
- Optimal way to set the dials:
- Turn Purple until Purple is correct
- Turn Orange until Blue is correct
- Turn Yellow until Orange is correct
- Turn Yellow until Yellow is correct, but also turn Purple the same amount
- Turn Blue until Blue is correct
- Optimal way to set the dials:
- Acquire the V-R11 wonder weapon from the Mystery Box (there is no other way to get it).
- Shoot a Zombie with the V-R11 on the bottom floor of the Lighthouse. It will turn human, run into the beam in the middle of the Lighthouse stairs, and start floating upward.
- Shoot the floating human until it goes into a downed state. Once the downed human reaches the top, the Golden Rod will appear and float to the bottom.
- If you don't down the human before he reaches the top, you can retry immediately with another Zombie.
- Pick up the Golden Rod and insert it into the tube to the left of the Metal Door.
- Wait for the dialogue to finish. The fuse box next to the door will start sparking. Knife it to complete the Easter Egg.
- A Wunderwaffe DG-2 will drop as a powerup. There is only one, and any player can pick it up. It will disappear on the usual powerup timer if left on the ground. After you complete the Easter Egg once, killing George Romero in any future game drops a Wunderwaffe instead of a Death Machine.
